Temple JazzFest Results

For the second time in recent history, the BMS Jazz Band received straight first division superior ratings at this year’s Temple Jazz Festival! The judges were very complimentary of our performance, and one of them thought we sounds like a high school group! Here are some of their comments:

• “Time and intonation is nice.”
• “Sounds really nice – great spirit.”
• “Balance is really nice – I can hear all the sections.”
• “There’s a lot of really awesome musicianship in this group!”

The following students were named outstanding soloists and received a certificate:

• Phoenix M., alto saxophone

• Clint D., trumpet
• Jakoby P., tenor saxophone
• Gia R., drums
