Fundraiser Recap
Thank you to the 38 students who participated and to the 166 families and friends who donated to our SnapRaise Fundraiser for the past few weeks. The final numbers are in and we raised a total of $11,400 that exceeded our goal of $10,000! SnapRaise gets 20% of that with their service fee, but we also earned $82.80 in donor gear purchases for our students. This brings our net total to $9,202.80!
The purpose of this fundraiser was to raise money for our annual Spring Trip to Typhoon Texas in May, as well as individual Student Awards and Social Activities for our students. You can find the total amount your student raised on their online fundraiser page, and 80% of that will be put into our campus activity account. Gear that has been purchased by donors should arrive within the next few weeks. Thanks again for all your help and support!
Here is the list of the top 3 students with the most amount of donations:
- Charles R. – $805
- Zurina P. – $800
- Fisher V. – $720
And Honorable Mention goes to these students who round out the top 5:
4. Lillie P. – $600
5. Shanyah C. – $595

Thursday’s Beginner Band Concert
We are excited for your student’s first band concert coming up this Thursday, October 12 at BMS! Please read through this information sheet that was given to students and discussed with them in class this past Friday. Here are some important points to remember:
- Young gentlemen need to wear a belt as part of their band uniform, and all students need to tuck in their band shirts. This gives our students a polished and professional look for all of our performances. They should wear closed-toed shoes such as tennis shoes and the like, but no crocs, sandals, Birkenstocks, flip flops, etc.
- Students and parents should arrive by 6:15pm to give them enough time to be seated and in place ready to perform no later than 6:25pm. Part of their grade is contingent on this as part of our guideline to Be Punctual. Our concert will start promptly at 6:30pm and should end around 7:15-7:30pm.
- Parking will be crowded due to the volleyball games that usually happen at the same time in our gyms, so plan ahead accordingly. There is a construction project taking place in the area, so you will probably have to park on the opposite side close to the M100 Practice Field and Tiger Stadium.
Feel free to invite as many family members and friends as you would like, and email your child’s director if you have any questions.
