Spring Concert Postponed Until Friday, May 17

Due to the severe weather this evening, our Spring Concert & Awards Ceremony will be postponed until tomorrow night at the same time and same place – Friday, May 17 at 6:30pm. All instruments and binders should go and stay home today and NOT be brought back to school tomorrow in preparation for our concert tomorrow. Please email Mr. Pulley if you have a conflict.

Beginner’s Temple College Contest Results

For the fourth year in a row, the Beginner’s Ensemble have earned straight First Division Superior ratings at the Temple College Band Invitational! The group has been preparing for this performance for the past few weeks did a superior job!

Here are some comments directly from the judges:

  • “Nice sounds coming from all sections!”
  • “I am impressed with this group!”
  • “Keep working, you have LOTS of potential!”
  • And my personal favorite: “This is the best band sound I have heard so far today!”

Band Notes Newsletter – Week of May 6

Beginners have their after school rehearsals this Monday & Tuesday until 5pm, plus our Spring Trip Parent Meeting is Monday from 5:30-6:00pm in the Band Hall. Congratulations to our awesome 8th graders for earning spots in the M100, and their Fundamentals Camp is this Thursday & Friday starting at 5pm. Ensemble Placement results will be displayed this Friday at 8am on the Announcement Window in the hallway.
