Beginners will have a quiz this week on the parts of their instruments as Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will start Region Pass-Offs. These advanced students are rehearsing stand tunes for our upcoming MS Band Night Performance on September 19. This week is the last chance to sign up for Private Lessons so be sure to sign up using the link in the newsletter. Most can be scheduled DURING THE SCHOOL DAY, plus there is some financial aid available to apply for from our Belton Band Boosters organization. Message Mr. Trahan for more details.

Beginners will testing on their flashcards this week in order to move forward in their skill development. Students from Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will start required and graded after school sectionals this week until  5pm. Please make arrangements to pick up your student in the staff parking lot by the Cafeteria by 5pm since directors have to stay until all students are picked up for their safety. We had a great first week of school and looking to continue that success into this week! All Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble students need to order a Future M100 Shirt THIS WEEK for our upcoming MS Band Night on September 19. 8th Graders who still have theirs from last year do not need to fill this out and our Boosters are providing this to our students for FREE! 

We will also start our After School Sectionals one day next week from 4:00-5:00pm. Please make arrangements for next week to pick up your students by 5pm at the side Cafeteria entrance since directors are required to stay with your student until they are picked up for safety. HAPPY FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

The Band Hall opens at 7:30am every morning, but will be drop off only on Tuesday. Remember Registration Checklists and all Supplies/Materials are due this Wednesday for the first grade. Feel free to drop off or get supplies checked by a director tomorrow (Monday) from 8am-4pm to avoid the hassle of the first day of school.

Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble parents please fill out the Fall Sectional Survey by this Friday, and remember our required Region Boot Camp this Saturday from 10am-3pm (free lunch provided).

Thank you to those of you who attended our Band Registration last Friday – we had over 80% attendance! All payments made have now been updated in CutTime so check your MagicLink to verify what you have paid and what you still owe. All payments for shirts, decals, and instrument usage fees are due by Friday, September 12.

All steps listed on the Registration Checklist are due to be completed by Wednesday, August 13, which is also when all supplies and materials are due at school.

This week, we have our New Parent Meeting this Friday starting at 4pm in the Band Hall where we will discuss our program’s structure, expectations, and how to set your student up for success.
